"My brush peels layers from the land, water and sky depositing them on the canvas. The staccato brush strokes create textures that transform the subject matter into a moving vibrant scene that is part abstract and part documentary. For me, these scenes vibrate with nature’s life force, and my goal is to portray them, not so much in a representative manner, but in a way that the viewer can feel the breeze, smell the deep earth, and feel the calm created by the reflective waters."
